If you own many of the tools necessary to build a fence your cost will be less. If you have to buy or rent the tools your cost will be more.

Perhaps you have no intention of building your own fence. In that case you can hire a contracting company or even a handyman to do the job for you. The company will evaluate your needs and provide you with an estimate of wood fence prices based on what you want. You may want to talk to a few different contractors and compare estimates, especially if they offer them for free. Comparison shopping is a great way to get the job done for the most affordable price. Just make sure the contractor you deal with has the proper licenses and is able to provide references.
